Please join us on Saturday March 3, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. till Noon. We will meet at the pool parking lot for registration and to receive your supplies.

We would like to encourage Boy Scouts, Weebelos, Cub Scouts, Brownies or Girl Scouts to join us serving our Community. This would also be a good opportunity to get credit toward your Community service if you are in National Honor Society.

On clean-up day, please wear closed-toe shoes, long pants and a hat to shade you. Work gloves, trash bags, trash pickers, mosquito spray, and drinking water will be provided.

Congratulations to 1841 Chasewood Drive for snagging first place in our Home Holiday Lights Contest! 13425 Kinder Pass snagged a close second. Way to go, guys!

The Social Committee enjoyed driving around the neighborhood and viewing all the decorated homes. Determining our winners was no easy task, as each year it gets harder and harder to judge. Y’all do such an awesome job year after year!

Now I encourage y’all to grab the fam, a thermos of hot cocoa and make an evening of driving around the neighborhood to look at the lights. Both kids and adults are sure to enjoy!

Grab a blanket and bring your chair down to Scofield Farms Park (12901 Scofield Farms Drive, nearby cross-street is Cutting Horse Lane) on Saturday, September 24th at 8PM for Movie Night at Scofield Farms Park. Walt Disney’s “Tangled”, rated PG, will be shown on a 40-foot screen provided by Blue Moon Cinemas. Complimentary shaved ice will be served, but feel free to pack a cooler chocked full of your favorite movie munchies.

Please remember these few simple park rules:
1. Alcohol is prohibited in the park
2. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian
3. All dogs must be on a leash at all times

A special thanks goes out to University Federal Credit Union for their sponsorship and also to Scofield Farms for allowing us to partner with them on this fun-filled family event.
Make sure to arrive early to get a good spot! The movie starts at dusk!

The presenters will be Mark Hess of Hess Lawns and Patrick Kelly, Conservation Program Specialist, who is a xeriscape specialist.
Topics to be covered in this short hour will be: getting started, plant selection, water requirements and maintenance.

Please bring a lawn chair in case space is an issue as seating may be limited at the pool.

We are trying to get a feel for how many people may attend. If interested and you think you might be present, please shoot an email to maintsafe@scofieldridge.org.

Door prizes will be given out and we have invited the folks from Scofield Farms to join us.
