Join us for a water conservation discussion

June 7, 2011 by admin

Please join us for an informative discussion on water conservation as it relates to yard maintenance, presented by David Foster of The Clean Water Fund. The Committee felt this was an important topic due to the lack of rain and the super-low lake levels. The presentation will be about 20 minutes and will be followed by a question and answer session.
Door prizes will be given out and we have invited the folks from Scofield Farms to join us.

Parmer Woods Retirement Center
Corner of Scofield Farms and Parmer
7:00 p.m. June 14th

Thank you,
Maintenance & Safety Committee

Learn more about the Scofield Ridge’s Covenants, Conditions, and Restrictions at ‘CCR 101,’ on May 11

May 9, 2011 by admin

The Homeowners’ Association Enforcement Policy Committee are hosting a “CCR 101” class to review the CCRs (Convenants, Conditions and Restrictions) for the Scofield Ridge Community. The goal is to give the community definitions and understanding of what the restrictions are–and minimize any confusion through a question and answer session with residents.  (This informal discussion may further help avoid violation letters.)

The Enforcement Policy Committee invites all residents to to CCR101, a casual meeting to be held at Parmer Woods Assisted Living Center (12429 Scofield Farms Drive , at the intersection of Parmer and Scofield Farms Drive) on Wednesday, May 11th at 7pm.
Residents should bring a copy of the Homeowner’s Handbook, if possible.   Otherwise, a copy of the general deed restrictions will be provided.

A Message from New HOA President, Amanda Young

May 6, 2011 by admin

Thank you to everyone who attended this year’s annual meeting. Attendance was much higher this year than in years past. It’s always great to see new faces and people wanting to get involved in the community!

We would like to send a huge thank you to outgoing Board members Craig Moore and Anjuli Herrington for their time spent serving on the Board. Their efforts and dedication to the community know no bounds. We greatly appreciate their service and wish them nothing but success in their future endeavors.

I’d like to take this opportunity to introduce the two new Board members elected at the annual meeting. Jennie Huerta, a resident for more than 2 years, will serve as Vice President and Secretary.  Colette Bonstead will serve as Treasurer, Colette has been a resident for 5 years and has served as the Social Committee Chair for the last 2 years. Welcome aboard!

We always like to hear your ideas and suggestions, so please don’t hesitate to send an email to the Board.  We want to continually improve the neighborhood and make it a place where we all enjoy living. Thanks again!

-Amanda Young, President

2011 Annual Meeting Architectural Committee Presentation Available

April 22, 2011 by admin

The Scofield Ridge Architectural Committee (ACC) made a homeowner presentation at the 2011 Annual Meeting. This presentation includes information on the process and requirements to receive HOA clearance for home improvement/augmentation projects, and a refresher on key HOA guidelines related to such projects.

To learn more about how close you can build/improve near a property line, how high you can build a shed, or even what guidelines apply to the addition of solar panels (they’re encouraged, with some restrictions) or “zeroscaping” your lawn–and the quick and easy process to gain approval for any of these or many other projects–read the 2011 ACC presentation.
